Problem & Motivation
Public health centers, rural outreach clinics, and industrial estate dispensaries in India face intense patient volume, language diversity, and acute doctor shortages. Triage staff lose crucial consultation time sorting through fragmented oral complaints and unstructured previous prescriptions before establishing urgency.
Role & Engineering Contributions
System Architect and AI Developer. Formulating the intake pipeline, prompt schema validation, and clinician validation interfaces.
System Architecture & Methodology
A multimodal intake pipeline that accepts voice notes, regional text inputs, patient vitals, and image scans of past medical records. A structured AI pipeline extracts chief complaints, timeline of symptoms, and vital anomalies into standardized triage summaries. Crucially, the system operates in a strict human-in-the-loop framework: AI outputs are provided exclusively as assistive draft notes for review and validation by qualified doctors and triage nurses.
Implementation Details
Formulated schema-constrained prompting ensuring that outputs adhere to standard medical triage formats (e.g., SBAR / SOAP summary templates). Integrated speech and text translation components accommodating multilingual regional queries. Designed clinical safety guardrails explicitly prohibiting diagnostic conclusions, maintaining strict adherence to triage symptom synthesis. Created a clear, clutter-free clinician review view enabling healthcare staff to edit, approve, or reprioritize patient triage notes with single keystrokes.
Verified Results & Outcomes
Ongoing project designed for public health camps and industrial-estate units across varied Indian languages, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and clinical workflow acceleration.
